Yahoo E-mail OverviewWe
will be establishing a Yahoo email account for this workshop. The advantage to a web
based email account is that you can retrieve your email from ANY computer that can
connect to the Internet without needing to configure your POP email account on that
computer. This is a huge advantage and I know that you will like using a web based
email account.
The other reason we use a Yahoo email account is because they also own GeoCities which
is where we will be posting our web sites. There are many free web hosting sites,
but we have selected the Yahoo / Geocities combination as the easiest and best combination
on the Internet.
Your Activities are
- Go to http://yahoo.com and establish a free email
account.
- Once established, send email to me at TeamCIA@yahoo.com
- Send email to others in the class.
- Write down your Yahoo member name and password.
